New Caver from DC area

Postby whitkos » Sep 16, 2010 9:45 am

Hey everyone,

I am new to the caving scene.

I just relocated to the area a few months ago from florida. While I lived in florida I enjoyed diving and was planning on getting my cave diving cert when I moved to the DC area.

I'm planning on heading to the next DC Grotto meeting in October so that I can hopefully get more involved.

Welcome! I live in the outer fringes of the DC metro area. But I hardly ever go dry caving anymore. I just got back from an awesome 4 days cave diving in Florida. There's lots of dry cavers in the area.

I'm in Gainesville. There are grottos in both Tally and Orlando, you should have gotten into caving down here.

Oh, the usual suspects. Devil's Eye, Peacock Springs, Madison Blue Spring, Cow Spring. I stayed in High Springs and Luraville.
