new caver in alabama

Greetings fellow cavers. My name is Patrick and I live in Jacksonville Alabama. Me and my friends have been exploring caves near us recently, and we are now tring to explore Weaver cave in Anniston. I have heard that it connects to Angel Cave and Lady Cave, but we can't find our way to them. we have explored all of it except one passage that we haven't gone down yet. I'll post some pics of our next trip if you want. If anyone has any advice or a map of the cave, it would be very welcome. Thanks.

Patrick, the Birmingham Grotto has been doing a lot of cleanup work in Weaver Cave. You're best bet for information about that and Lady cave is to check with those folks.

You should check out the Gadsden Grotto. (A grotto is a small local group of cavers; a local chapter of the NSS) They meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the East Gadsden Community Center @ 6:30 PM. They are the closest grotto to Jacksonville. You don't have to be a member to go to the meetings, and it is a good way to link up with other cavers in the area.
