Roger,

I mailed my registration this morning.

Can you tell us a little about the Kings River and Twin Lakes caves? Are they vertical? How close are they to the campground?

Thanks!

The KRGA caves are smallish, around 500 feet, mostly vadose canyons that have become exposed as the canyon wore down. they are 90% horizontal. There is one vertical if someone wants to bring gear for it but there is only one room at the bottom. Fun little caves to explore.

Twin Lakes caves are a little different. Meander cave is just that. Entrances at the top and the middle. A littel squeezy at times. 1-2-3 cave is more walkable, sometimes. Several entrances. The cave itself is barely within the mass of rock there. Very pretty white marble with sections of pink and even blue. It's a fair drive from the campsight and then a very pleasant 3 mile hike to the caves. Best to leave early if you're going there but it can be done as a day trip.
