Help me raise money to fight White Nose Syndrome.
I have made a beautiful pottery "bat bowl" that will be raffled off at the NSS convention/ICS.

I put together a Google Map of the ICS/NSS Convention area, campus and Kerrville: map or http://tinyurl.com/ICSmap, (same thing, just different link formats). Bookmark the link in your smartphones and laptops so you can reference it. I added everything I could find, session locations, lodging, dining, attractions, shopping, etc, etc... Change the view to a satellite image or terrain. Zoom in/out. Pan around. See pics and videos at the location they were taken. Fun and informative!

If you know of something else to add, let me know. Even better, if you are familiar with the Kerrville area and would like to help maintain the map, I can add you as a coordinator so you can make changes/edits also.

Feel free to distribute widely.

Scott, that's a pretty cool map, what with all the icons and information that one can dig into. :kewl: A thought on where to enter the university is down at the south part of your map, labeled "Broadway" which might help people from driving all around; thus, follow Hwy. 27 down and cop a left there. :woohoo:

Thanks Scott for doing that. I just sent it out to about seventy of our security staff members for this year's convention.

HOKEY SMOKES!!!!

I am going through the schedule for the ICS and there are *4* simultaneous talks I want to go to on Monday afternoon! This is gonna be TOUGH!

For those of you going, you might want to start pondering how you're going to juggle all these talks!!!

Scott, are you sure about the location of quiet camping? That doesn't match the map on the convention website.

You might also show the registration building.
Any opinions are personal.

I'm not sure about much of any thing on that map. Someone on another list told me to move it to the NE corner. I guess we will find out when we get there. I'll check on the reg building too.

Edit: registration is already marked.

2009 ICS/NSS Convention--Kerrville, TX

Actually, it's not too far off Scott and FW. This map is rough, naturally, and I've got a rough one also, and doing a comparison, it's not too far off. As for Registration where it is, it should be closer to the Security gate, down in the lower corner...before the dorms. And, as for looking at a map on the convention website, are you looking at this one? http://www.ics2009.us/kscg.pdf  If so, click on it, again, and see that that campground is No. 3, which isn't on the university campus, but a little way from the university. I don't know why they didn't put out a better map for people to get used to, before arriving, but...from what I can observe, they didn't! :bat sticker:

I was talking about this one (http://www.ics2009.us/campusmap.html) which shows the quiet campground much further east that on Scott's map. It has the regristartion building closer to the entrance too.

Thanks for pointing this map out, FW, for I've been looking all around on the webpage where I thought I'd find a map like this, but just shake my head on where I did finally find it. I was referring to a "bird's eye view map" that I sent out to the security staff, so...this is totally new to me. My map agrees with Scott's, so I can't figure it out, but guess we'll find out next weekend, 'eh?

Ok. I moved the quite campground back to where I had it to begin with. If the map that I used to find the campus stuff, the one FW linked, is right, the Google map should be pretty accurate. If you look at the reg building in satellite view you'll see that it is not at close to the entrance as the campus map makes it appear. "All maps lie."
