new wateproofing process?

Postby Nico » Aug 28, 2008 11:53 pm

Found this article about new waterproofing technology, and thought this would belong in the equipment section.

here's the manufacturers website
they say the thing is available already, does not restrict air circulation is is not affected by bending folding or crushing :kewl:

Cool idea. Unfortunately with a tiny thin layer like that on the outside, I'm thinking cave-type abrasion would rip through it really quick. Perhaps it might work for an inside coating on a cave suit though?

Well yeah, can turn one's cave suit inside out and apply the stuff on there, let it dry and there ya go. Might make me less reluctant to do those ear dippers. :big grin:

I dunno that I'd recommend applying it directly to your ears, Ralph!
