repairing a Swaygo

Postby Jeff Bartlett » Apr 21, 2008 3:25 pm

I have a small hole in my Swaygo Sink, and have already taken a look at the instructions on their site regarding how to repair a Swaygo pack using Aquaseal. I'm getting ready to perform the repair, and will admit that I am curious as to how well it's going to work.

Has anyone on here repaired a Swaygo before? Were the results positive (or negative)?

I have'nt...yet but a good friend has done several repairs on his and says he's happy with the results. I'm pretty sure he used the recommended method.

I've used Seamseal on fabric and it works great, it is strong enough to bridge some pretty big holes. I did a repair on my pack using bicycle tube cement and a wood clamp. No problems.

I have not had to repair my swaygo yet, but I have seen several at Scott's House that were repaired with Aquaseal and they seemed pretty bomber. I have used Aquaseal to repair several pieces of kayaking gear, and I can tell you from experience that the stuff holds up to some abuse. Fix it with Aquaseal and forget about it.
