Just a heads-up about a new headlamp from a high-quality flashlight manufacturer. Could make a great backup light.

REI has this light as the Underwater Kinetics Vizion Headlamp- for $29.95

In full disclosure…I work part-time at the Burford, GA REI store. I’ve played with the display model and it seems to be a solid light. We sold a ton of them before Christmas.

Even though it’s only “highly water-resistant”, I really like the Petzl Tikka XP LED Headlamp as my backup light.

The spec sheet shows depth tested to 10 meters(33 feet) so it appears fairly waterproof. I'd like to hear about the quality of light it makes for caving.
