Sorry I am late, I have been in sunny, warm, Flordia, diving in dark, cold, caves. :-)

I know of a couple of caves, and cave divers in the Knoxville area, PM me for more information.

And yes, Dry Creek!!

Forrest

Dry Creek is near Huntsville, AL. It is a sump that starts a short way into a "dry" cave. Depending on the water level, it can be as short as 1500', and as long as a mile. There is over a mile of "Dry" cave beyone the sump, and not fully explored. It was mapped by a French team, using "topofil", and needs a better survey, and could easly double (or more) in size. Water levels this low only happen every 10-20 years, so we should get in there while we can. It hasn't been fully explored, and was poorly mapped with topofil.

It can be done backmount, but for hauling gear over the sand/gravel bar, sidemount would be easier.

I'm free next week(14-18). I was going to go to N. FL but this sounds more fun.
