Information Requested on Cave Spiders

Postby Marlatt » Sep 12, 2005 4:09 pm

I recently received the following request from Joey Slowik at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Basically, he's looking for information on lampshade spiders in Colorado. Can anybody help him?

Greeting,
As you may of may not know the Denver Museum of Nature and Science is currently comducting a Colorado Spider Survey. We're interested in what locale information you may have on Hypochilus bonneti, the lampshade spider. I'm not sure if you're the person to contact but you have to start somewhere.

Thanks
Joey Slowik

I currently work at Cave of the Winds in Colorado Springs and apparently we have some very good examples of lampshade spiders. If you have any questions you should contact the cave manager at (719) 685-5444.
