Yessum folks....the great party for cavers by cavers starts in less than two weeks! :kewl: I was wonderin' how many of you cavechatters are goin'? I'll be in line noonish Thursday! I missed last years reunion as I couldn't get away from a cave dig....I didn't get rained on and we scooped over two thousand feet of booty! :tonguecheek: I'ma gonna celebrate that discovery this year with all my caver buddies at OTR! :beer30: :whiskey: :rock band: :toast: :flammable:
See ya there! :waving:

I should be there Thursday afternoon.

OTR is the largest gathering of cavers in the world and hell of a good time.
I 'm looking forward to the party (and some caving).

I'm bringing my girlfriend this year. She's not nuts on caving, so I'll try to get her in one of West Virginia's big friendly caves, then take advantage of whatever above-ground activities are in the area the rest of the time. That via ferrata in Nelson Rocks is calling my name.

You will need to call ahead for the via ferrata.

Yes, you have to be a member of TRA(The Robertson Association) or a guest of a TRA member to attend OTR. I don't know what the fee is today, but it was $10.00 for a lifetime membership a few years ago, not too bad of a deal.

I'll be there. It'll be the kickoff for my Thesis work - so you'll be likely to find me in Sharps Cave or thereabouts at some point (or at several points) that weekend.

Definitely Friday. I'm planning on going as far downstream as possible on friday. I'll be arriving thursday night!!!

Sean, there is a great cog-train ride up a mountain south of OTR..not too far, but it takes you up to a very high mountain with awesome views. My wife loved it several years ago. It's a great day trip.
