Here's a copy of the details:
Carpenter-Swago
Meet at the cave Friday at noon.
Return time: 9 p.m.
Number of people: 8
Description: Vertical Intermediate. Depending on who and how many people show up, we could do the Carpenter entrance (about 90' and 30') or the Swago entrance (40' entrance pit followed by 25' pit, knee deep water, 25' drop, 20' possibly wet-ish drop). Or we could split into two groups and do a cross-over trip. Your own set of vertical gear is required. Must be able to do a changeover.
Trip leader: Scott McCrea and Kevin Quick
Contact: scott@swaygogear.com

Please let me know if you want to join us. Feel free to pass this around.

Have fun guys...
I'd love to go,but I can't get off work until 2pm.

FYI:
If you go in thru the Swago entrance bring dry stuff for after the fourth waterfall.
You will need it...

I agree, I was an excellent VAR!

Hat's off to the operators of the campground, too...they were outstanding hosts and could not have been nicer.

I really enjoyed VAR also. I want to give a big thanks to Scott, Kevin, and Nate for a great trip to Carpenters, I really enjoyed caving with you guys and hope to do it again soon. I was glad to meet some of the other guys from the forum too. Didn't even know it til Sunday morning that Junkman was camped right behind me. :tonguecheek:

I also thought the venue this year was excellent. A little cold Sat night, but MoonshineR DavE kept us supplied with 'anti-freeze.' Sure didn't taste like it tho... smoooooooth. And the free beer kept the party going nicely.

Our scheduled thru trip of Carpenter-Swago was attempted but aborted because of the insane amount of water at Swago's second drop. It was twice as high as I have ever seen it. Here's a terrible video I took at the bottom of the Swago entrance pit, starring Clinton and Ellen, LINK

Yeah, I remember the one guy that was playing guitar, but a little later, me and a friend put on a little concert across the fire.
