How thick should a wet suit be?

George - I think I know what you mean. A friend in NY let me try what I think is a "shorty" one of those. Feels similar to wearing a wetsuit, but it's more flexible and not as constrictive being made of nylon instead of rubber. It would be nice to find a local souce for these suits. :grin:

Yes, the fiber-pile suit I mentioned is different. It has woven nylon fabric on the outside, and fluffy nylon on the inside - a bit like a giant hiking sock, but not stretchy.

Perhaps it is a Rexotherm suit. I had one years ago and it is much as you've described.
