Oh, not me! It's "true professional equipment" and I'm, of course, just an amateur.

Not to mention, it goes for 30 euros... $40 USD.

Probaly to hide the bad breath you'll have from not eating anything in a while, or to avoid boredom while you're waiting to be rescued (make tiny sculptures with the gum) lol

The technical term for the "tootsie roll" is "energy nugget."

since I won a CASE of these on ebay a few years back for about twenty bucks. They were fun to give away to folks!

The best kit on the market is Doug Ritter's "Adventure Medical Kit" produced item. I only say that because he quoted me on his page.

Chewing Gum is a MUST for any survival kit. I rebuilt the worn down Rotor in my car using the conductive properties of the wrapper held in place by a small piece of gum. (Ran for two years like that) The kit has a fishing hook. And with little balls of toots can fish for over a week (esp if the ground is frozen). Not to mention the possible chemical engineering with the component parts of those two Items together. If is has a small piece of hard soap in the kit You can accomplish almost any needed feat with the proper know-how.
