How NOT to wear your climbing harness...

Postby NZcaver » Oct 9, 2006 8:32 pm

Just saw this listed on eBay - see if you can figure out what's wrong with the photo...

This Black Diamond Bod Sit Rock climbing harness is in great shape. The harness is a size Medium. I'm not a climber so I don't know what else to say other than you get what is in the pictures here.

Something similar just happened at a caver baby shower. One caver made an itty-bitty climbing harness for the baby to be, and someone thought it was a nursing bra for the mommy caver.

Why would you want to see a baby in a harness?

Why to see how well it climbs using a Frog system, of course!

Ever noticed how babies lie on their back and do the little kick-with-both-feet while waving-the-arms-around thing? Perfectly logical to strap the little rugrat into a harness and have it learn how to climb a rope before it can walk.

Or... a picture of someone trying to put on the baby harness thinking it was a nursing bra could also be funny. Has that clarified my last post a little better?

I really hate to get serious for a second, but I do know a certain European caver living in the US who has gear loops on his Frog chest harness. He prefers to attach his spare carabiners and bolting equipment there, instead of it "getting in the way" on the side of his seat harness.

To each their own... :-)
