Not your usual cave story, but for those in the know...

Postby Ernie Coffman » May 9, 2016 9:53 pm

This is a small area that's been taken care of for years; and, has a history of cave divers doing this small water area, with a death in the outcome. Check the history of it on the Internet. But, first read this ugly story of three guys who were feeling their oats and what's being offered for finding and turning them in. :yikes:

Speaking of Devil's Hole...

Remember the earthquake that hit 2000 miles away from Devil's Hole that made the waters turbulent? Here is the video.

Man, that pisses me off. I have a Devil's Hole Dive Team Tshirt. Of course there is no such thing (other than a few park service divers). But I would LOVE to go there (snowball's chance...).

What a bunch of dumb@$$es. I would love to see them strung up.

:yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

I'm speechless after watching the video. I hope never find myself in this situation when I'm cave diving ! If someone can send to me a copy of this cave map ? I'm curious to see what this cave looks like to shake as much of water. I only find a schematic map on the web.

Thanks
Paul

In 1981 or 1982 I was fortunate enough to visit the preserve during an SFBC extended weekend trip. :kewl:

Of course, without trying to find some (non-electronic) pictures from that trip, my old cavernous brain doesn't remember much about the area. :shhh:
