Elusive Majesty book on "Lechuguilla" is a great read!

Postby BrianFrank » May 5, 2014 10:42 am

Just finished the Kindle book by Ron DeLano and Donald G. Davis on the exploration of Lechuguilla, "Elusive Majesty: Exploration of the World's Most Beautiful Cave". I couldn't put it down once I started to read it. I only wish there were more pictures and better detailed maps throughout the book. Regardless of that, it is a book more than worth the price.

Anyone know when part 2 is due to be released?

I got it on iBooks (pretty much the same format). I'm not sure if there is a hardcover or paperback. It's a great read. To call that cave fascinating would be an understatement.

No release info on a hardback or paperback yet that I can find. I'm sure people here on this forum know the authors and can ask them if they plan to release in a physical book edition and when is part 2 due to be released?

If anyone of you might be interested in reviewing the e-book, the NSS News could use one. The "usual suspects" aren't rushing to do so (one because he was a major proofreader for it) so it would be nice to hear from someone less published about it.

I just read the book on Kindle as my "vacation read". I thought it was very well done and look forward to the second and third books. Just the right blend of personal insight into the characters and detail about the cave. Based the Forward, I don't believe this is intended to be published in hard copy. My only problem: the link to the photos (http://www.whatafinecave.com) didn't work for me. Did anyone else encounter this? Did anyone find a solution?

Well thanks guys , why didn't someone post that the next two books after Elusive Majesty (Lechuguilla Trilogy) were already released last year? What's going on that someone in the "know" wouldn't tell the community on this forum? Just downloaded both to my tablet and can't wait to read them.

Anyway, here is a link to see them on Amazon
- The Firefall: Exploration of the World's Most Beautiful Cave (Book 2) http://goo.gl/O9lZ4a
- The Mother Lode: Exploration of the World's Most Beautiful Cave (Book 3) http://goo.gl/eu5Wv4

I'm not really upset, just surprised
