Doing research

Postby caveauthor » Jun 16, 2015 10:04 am

Hello, I am a freelance author who was just commissioned to write an educational book on cave geologists. This book is part of a series called "Extreme jobs in Science" and will be geared towards 4th and 5th graders. I will be focusing on the exciting, thrilling and dangerous parts of the job, training, and notable people, situations and places that are associated with this career. I am having some difficulty getting started on this research, as this topic is completely new to me. Any information and/or educational links that you could provide for me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

There aren't that many cave geologists out there that I know of. I don't know anyone who gets paid to be a cave geologist. There are some geologists who are also cavers but I don't know any geologists whose profession is specifically being a cave geologist. There isn't a high demand for cave geologists.
