Have you considered anything more aligned with your literary talents (journalism, tech writing, freelance, ad cetera). Whilst tower work has much to recommend it (outdoors, on rope), you clearly have both passion and skill in assembling words. Something to consider.

I've considered it, but I'm not really interested. I have done a few freelance jobs, which I hated. Being assigned to write about convincingly on topics I don't care about is something like torture. If I could write about things that I was interested in or write for some honorable purpose I might change my mind. There's also money to consider. I'm not used to making much, but I do need to pay the bills.

Where, geographically, does he work? I have thought about this too, but I would have to move.
