Zacksw... My name is David Moore... I am actually located in Texas but I am a member of the OCDA (Ozark Cave Diving Alliance - www.OCDA.org). Myself as well as some of the other OCDA members sump dive and are always willing to help on projects. If you would like to get in contact with a member that is local I can do that for you. I do frequent the Ozark area for our team projects as well as for fun diving but I currently don't know the next time I'll be up there. Shoot me a PM and we can talk if you are interested.

Hi Lee. I hope you noticed this is over half a mile gear haul just to get to the water.

I always thought that cavers are one weird group. Although that may be the case, cave divers are REALLY weird! :big grin:

Thank goodness! :kewl:

Yep, the half mine is in the cave, he didn't mention how far it was over land.

Just thought I would update this. OCDA will be diving the cave next weekend! Hopefully the weather cooperates. They did recon on the cave yesterday and were pretty excited by what they saw. He went in several spots but the sump at the end got his excitement up. He says its about 15 feet wide 4 or 5 feet tall for as far as he could see (only 8 to 10 feet). Theres enough current coming out to push him a little. Hopefully its a short sump that opens back up into virgin dry cave. .... Because I will NOT be diving very far..ever. Just thought I would post an update... REALLY excited!

Suggestion: Have you lead diver (or whatever you divers call it) have a go pro filming the initial exploration and rigging (that the right word?) for the line.
