Can someone help identify species?

Postby Rangeoflight » May 27, 2014 7:26 pm

This bat was disturbed from a cliff face in Colorado's Front Range by a climber's rope. Looking for some help to identify.

Thanks!

Long glossy brown fur, dark wing membrane and forearm, big powerful canine teeth for chomping beetles, rounded ear with blunt tragus, "dog" muzzle which rules out all of Colorado's confusing Myotis species...

I'll call it a Big Brown Bat (Eptesicus fuscus).
