Mammoth Cave 1866 vs. 2012

Postby Magee » Jun 10, 2012 4:42 pm

This is a very early look at my photography at Mammoth Cave. It will be expanded as the project goes forward. I hope it is not too early in the process to share. Suggestions and comments are more than welcome.

That was cool! Looking forward to seeing more. I thought the music was perfect, too.

Is the Facebook page not up yet? I couldn't find it.

I made some small changes to the opening and made the time longer on the photos.

It is now public.

Interesting not every day you get to see photos taken from a cave in 1866 and the same shot (At least as much as you can, I think you nailed it) in 2012. Count me in for a full copy once you publish the final product.

Thank you!

I just got back and have finished shooting the remaining views. Amazing trip into Mammoth Cave. I was able to photograph 12 views in 1 1/2 days.

The new presentation will have more information about the views. I am waiting for the narrator to post the updated video. When you are asking for free help you sometimes have to wait.

I will post the link here when the new video is available.

I think the video is finally done! It shows the "long trip" that Waldack photographed in 1866. It was narrated by Lew Jetton, who did a great job. Waldack's words add a great amount to the photographs. Hopefully I won't have to change the video again so the link should stay.

There is a lot more to be done but at least this part looks like it is completed.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible!
