Landjoff brand?

Postby Adventurer » Dec 4, 2011 6:48 pm

I was wondering if anyone has bought, used or know of the Landjoff line of caving products,in particular the cave coveralls they make.In my search for a cave suit, its one of the names mentioned on E-Bay for a suit. The suits sound decent and cheap(about $115),but no where can i find reviews. The bags and such they make,I have read good reviews on.

I use the Landjoff pack for project work. It holds up really well.

So I purchased a pair of the Landjoff coveralls.
Waterproof, scuff resistant, the built in suspenders are a godsend, keeping the coveralls snug and always ready for a good crawl. The only complaint is lack of pockets(1 inside pocket) and no zipper.Other than that, these are extremely lightweight and comfortable-just make sure you wait until you get to the cave before putting them on(and wear something THIN underneath(breathable nylon pants for me),these are also quite nice temp. wise in a cave, not outside. Also, the price cant be beat.
i would say a 9/10 for these.

The coveralls are well made. The inside of the nylon is sealed so they are very waterproof. Of course, that makes them very warm - too warm for dry, mid to lower latitude US caving. That being said, I prefer them over PVC for wet caving as they keep you relatively dry but continue to provide warmth when you stop moving.

As for myself,im 6 foot 200 lbs,and the tough as nails nylon lets me do some serious squeezing, without clothes catching or ripping. Also, our caves in the northeast(Nova Scotia,Canada) are always cool and soggy.
