Like the "shoe goo", the black silicone adhesive i used did not survive long in the cave. Worked for about half a day before I found it peeling off and had to remove it so I didn't litter the cave with little bits of black silicone.

Aquaseal is on it's way to me now.

I just aquasealed the toe area of my Servus wellingtons. Seems like extremely tough stuff. I'm going caving on Saturday and again the next weekend. I'll report back after a few more trips.

Hey guys and gals! Any update on where to buy these? Do I still have to go through france?
If I do - i'm super sketched out about ordering the wrong size. Is there a consensus that these run kinda large?

Thanks!

Better too large than too small. Remember you will need to add an insert of some kind, so save some room for that plus thick caving socks.

I ordered from Mark Joop last year. Be warned, it took 7 months for me to get them. Patience required. If you send a tracing of your foot with a thick sock on as he requests everything should be close enough, though I do find that my foot isn't quite beefy enough to fill the boot even with insoles and thick socks.

Also, apparently they arrive quite quickly if ordered from the vendor Expé and after international shipping it's not that much more money.

I sized my foot with pen and paper while wearing a sock just like Luke M described. I don't wear insoles in my Joop boots, just one pair of polypro and one pair of neoprene socks together, and the fit is perfect.
