Just noticed that one of the required items for the NCRC weeklong is a wetsuit and a PFD? Is this for level III or for everyone? I hope not, because I pretty much don't own a wetsuit other than the one I had when I was ten...

Just found elsewhere on the NCRC site that the wetsuit is only required for level III. Phew!

So, how'd it go?

Saw some pics from the Mock, looks like it was at Pettijohns judging by all the mud.

NCRC level 1 was good. I would like to have had a few SRT relays or climbing distance challenge during our evening fun. Does anyone else have suggestions?

I had a great time and I am amazed at the level of knowledge that was passed along for the low price of admission.

If you didnt do any caving, pit bouncing or rope climbing after hours its because you didnt try hard enough. I think I went to sleep one night at 10:30, the rest were in the 3:00 am range. :shhh: Sorry about the screams at 3:30 am on Wednesday night when I jumped into the lake off the rope swing. It may of sounded like a girl, but it was just me screaming from the shock of cold water.

Great job to all the staff that volunteered their time.

Level 1 squad 4 was a blast.

Indymonkey, standing by.

You could join our evening "Fatboy" rope climbing exercise... By the end of the week I was about .1 Berta speed.

I love it. You know you're famous when you have a unit of measurement named after you.

"1 Berta" I love it.

I don't think you saw the decimal point infront of the '1'. I believe Shibumi was saying he was a 0.1
You may have been a 0.0001 when going upside down... :big grin:

Oh no, I saw the decimal. And I know Berta's speed compared to Anmar's. Or mine (regardless of direction!) I was just commenting on the unit itself.

I will perfect the upside down ascent!

Great! I can't wait to see your perfected technique next year! I promise that I will keep those who want to give you 'bottom' tension far away from the rope! Unless you want it, of course! :tonguecheek:
