I've still got an open vehicle leaving from the Chattanooga area (I live on Lookout Mt) around 3 or 4.

Well I'm arriving in Atlanta via Amtrak on Thursday morning and getting a rental car and leaving (via Amtrak again) on Saturday the 26th.

But I'd love to return my rental car early (like this Friday) and snag a ride back up to camp if anyone has a spare spot in their car on Friday the 18th. (heck if anyone is heading in early on the 17th, let me know)

I didn't mention this in my last post: If anyone is willing to leave Atlanta a little later Friday night (for my 9:40pm flight) I would be more than happy to pay for gas and dinner on the way! I could probably come up with a cool gift from the lovely Black Hills of South Dakota, too :)

Cheers,

I'm about 1 hour out of Atlanta.

But, my current ride doesn't get into Atlanta until 3:00 PM or so.

So... if anyone is passing through Atlanta BEFORE then, feel free to ping me. The earlier I can get to the camp the better.

Can't wait to start seeing folks!

Leanne and Jess are going to arrive at camp earlier than I am since I'm picking Punches up at the airport in Louisville after 10pm tonight. We decided to split the driving so they can get our room set up and we didn't all have to pile into the truck and then get in at 3am and try to get it figured out. I'm leaving the Ranch around 8:30 or so tonight. It wouldn't be NCRC if I wasn't at least a little sleep deprived.

Yeah, I was going to say, I don't think I've ever seen you show up in the Georgia area during daylight hours. Hmm. You know.. there may be something to that.

And I will say I learned awhile ago to try to avoid showing up sleep deprived. Since lord knows I will be by the end of the week!

A couple of times I showed up to the the BORC meeting in Walker County as the sun was rising and just pulled in the parking lot and napped until the meeting started... I've never showed up to Mentone in daylight.

We won't be arriving during daylight hours either...<sigh> Beds will be made so all you have to do is fall down into them. I hope John's roommate doesn't mind us indruding! At least breakfast isn't until 8am Central Daylight Time!! That's 9am for all you Eastern folks!

About what time do you think you'll get in scrambler?

And on a different note, ever notice there are some places you've been to dozens of times, and then the first time you try getting there during the day you get lost? :-)

I don't want to even consider trying to find Flowing Stone in the daylight.
