This is not exactly what you are looking for but it is headed in that direction. Lubbock Area Grotto started a project a while ago to develop a detailed description of the Carlsbad Cavern Cave Inventory Form with relevant photographs and descriptions useful for in-cave identification of the items on that form. The medium is a wiki (much like Wikipedia). You can read about it here:
