Looking for Large helmet

Postby verticalAndy » Oct 25, 2011 2:07 pm

I'd like to take a friend caving who can not fit into an Ecrin Roc helmet. I think his hat size is XXL. He's not really overweight, just large. I am looking for recommendations for a caving helmet for someone with this type of challenge.

 <-- Big helmet needed

thanks

I find an Ecric Roc to be a little tight. I got a Ventral Vent instead. I like the fit, and it works well enough.

If he can, he ought to try on a helmet before purchase.

Thanks Dwight!

My Google search didn't fair too well for the Ventral Vent. I have since measured my friend's cranium and found he has a circumfrance of 25 1/4 inches. This is turning into an interesting challenge for our Grotto.

Hmm, I gave you the wrong name. It's "Vertex Vent" by Petzl. See . . .

Eldrid helmets are about the only thing I can wear due to my large noggin.

That's funny, Agosnell! I use the Eldrid Jr. helmet because it's the only one small enough to fit my tiny head =P
