Sounds great. Will have to set the DVR.

Letting the days go by / water flowing underground
Into the blue again / in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones / there is water underground.

Last night, Wes posted up to Facebook that he had no part in the playing up of the extremeness. He said he wasn't consulted about it and he knows why! He would never have wanted the sensationalism to come out. So what's new about the mainstream media?

I expect the footage to be awesome! But I'll just have to roll my eyes, and know the participants didn't want it to come out quite the way it did.

We've become so jaded by modern media. Extremeness sells. We have been glued to the TV through the program though. I half expected to see you in it!

Nah, I'm not a very good cave diver. Live too far away from the caves. But I know many of the people in it. Kenny Broad, the expedition leader went to Huautla with us. In '93 we took a trip to Infernio to "test" breaking down the rebreathers, toting them in a cave, and diving in a sump. If you've ever seen a picture, it has an ENORMOUS entrance (I'll do a google search in a minute). It was Kenny's first dry cave. He asked, "Not all dry caves are like this, are they?" No, Kenny, you're right. They're not.

Caught it by accident and was glad i did. Beautiful footage. I wish I was'nt terrified of the thought of diving. Its more based on lack of knowledge than anything. I wanna learn one day and find someone to take me on a really short cave dive just to see what its like. I did feel bad for the "bones still in gear" guy. Bad way to go(as if theres a good one). My only complaint is I wish it had been two hours.

I can see why there was some complaints about the "extreme" portrayal, but dang if that just wasn't great footage. Watching it on the tube is enough cave diving for me. ;)

I got to watch a little over half of this show a few nights ago and it was extremely well done. The photography was awesome. And, that's the only way I'll ever see an underwater cave !!!

There was good emphasis on safety and technique. The body/skeleton of the dead cave diver from the 1970s was sort of gross, but I guess it did help to emphacise the point that cave diving is extremely dangerous and you need to get proper training.

They said sea level was 400 feet lower during the last Ice Age. I thought it was 300 feet. Is this new information, or were they wrong?

The information about the pre-Indian fauna was fascinating and the information on the Indians that were there when Columbus arrived was very interesting.

I plan to watch this again, as soon as possible, and see it all the next time.
