Here's an exciting story on a cult in a Russian cave

Too bad for the cave, but if the people want to do themselves in, so be it...except for the little kids who don't know what these idiots are thinking of...probably. Go to this link and see what the article says:

lookslike

"A Penza police spokeswoman said they had moved into the dug-out on November 7" ... "They are thought to have taken food and fuel supplies in with them and Russian television pictures from the scene showed smoke or steam coming out of a hole in the snow-covered ravine where it was built."

Looks like it may not be a real cave, just a hole they dug themselves.

Russian "cave" expedition scenario

Postby Ernie Coffman » Nov 15, 2007 9:24 pm

In answer to WildWolf, who found some more BS on this unfortunate Russian situation, all I can say is, "That's good!" At least they might not be harming a natural cave. Doing what we kids used to do, down in the creek: digging a hole in the side of the landscape and calling it a cave...if it didn't fall in on you. Ah, yes!

Will the cave save them?

Investigators say 35 Russian sect members holed up in cave
16:03 | 19/ 12/ 2007

MOSCOW, December 19 (RIA Novosti) - Russian investigators have concluded that there are 35 sect members holed up in a cave in the country's Penza Region, a spokeswoman for the region's top investigator said on Wednesday.

"Our investigations have determined that there are 35 people in the cave, including four children believed to be between 18 months and 14 years old," said Maria Orlova.

The sect members went underground a month and a half ago in order to "save themselves during the time of the apocalypse," which they say will come in May 2008. They have threatened to set fire to themselves if any attempt is made to force them to come to the surface.

I don't understand why they would threaten to set fire to themselves if they are trying to stay alive during an apocalypse!

Yes, pretty stupid but then again most Cults are. Pity the children who are swept up into this drama not having any idea just how mad their parents are.
