Grand Canyon Caverns: Another Arizona wonder

More than 20 years after Interstate 40 bypassed Grand Canyon Caverns, this natural wonder of Arizona is still drawing visitors. Located on the longest remaining stretch of old Route 66 - the nation's famous “Mother Road” - between Kingman and Seligman, Grand Canyon Caverns covers approximately 800 acres.

Thanks for the fix Wayne!

the photo in the article reminds me of something that often bothers me a little....

Have visited a fair number of commercial caves...and seen brochures for many more...

And even though I am a caver....plenty of them have had really crappy photos....I mean as in so bad that about the ONLY thing you can maybe tell is that it litterally is a hole underground...

Yeah...I'm sure SOME of these caves just dont photograph well...but come one...I sure more could look alot better given a half arsed attempt by a decent photographer...

I know more than one cruddy photo has influenced me to NOT visit a cave...and Im OBSSESSED with caves!'

Makes you wonder what the owners/brochure makers are thinking!

anyhow

thanks again

I may have posted about the dig, its still on going. We head once a month. We haven't been in a few months because their generator has been down, so no power at the dig face. They have some better photos on their website, http://www.gccaverns.com/
