Chattanooga cave trip exciting for family

Postby Wayne Harrison » Jul 5, 2007 8:23 am

IF YOU ARE, like me, blessed to be the father of a teenage daughter, you well know that what the princess wants, the princess usually gets.

And, since my princess is going into her senior year of high school with an eye on going off to college (a long way off, she says), she decided that she wanted to take a real family vacation.

We gave her the option of choosing what sort of vacation she wanted to take, and she decided she wanted to go explore caves.

Oooooooh-kaaaaaaaay.

After much ado, we decided to take our vacation around the Chattanooga, Tenn., area. Chattanooga is not a big tourist mecca, but there are a number of interesting things to do there.

You can "see Rock City," visit Ruby Falls, take in a nice aquarium and explore several caves in and around the area.
