Jack Daniels Still Flowing
The entire southeast continues to suffer from extreme drought, and numerous news agencies have been reporting that the drought may make Jack Daniels distillery halt their production.
We visited the distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee to ask the Master Distiller, Jimmy Bedford what exactly was going on. He says that the rumors of stopping production are totally unfounded. The cave spring still has PLENTY of water to make the distinct flavor of Jack Daniels whiskey.
Measures are taken every day to make sure the cave spring water is used solely for whiskey production. Grains used in their whiskey making are safe too. They are brought in from other states that are not being affected by drought conditions.
