It's typically not ... the glaciers rolled on through and smushed most caves in our area. :doh:

Imho, they didn't even leave lakes behind. If it wasn't for Stratton Dam, it'd be Chain O' Bogs :tonguecheek: (artificially induced sedimentation not withstanding). After that, there are really no significant natural lakes in Illinois.
