Two really good caving articles in national magazines this month (August).
National Geographic has a frightening story by Robbie Shone about being in the deepest known cave in the world when the water starts to rise. Fast. Along with a friend, he makes “The Climb of His Life” up, up, from the lowest levels in the Veryovkina system. What about the others in the cave?
The Red Bulletin has a prettier article focused on the ice in Kverkfjoll Glacier Cave in Iceland. There are photos of both the fire of Eyjadjafjallajokull and the ice of Kverkfjoll.
Try putting this through your spell check!
