Jewel Cave will shut down all of its cave tours from Monday, October 15, 2018 until about mid-April 2019 in order to make improvements along the Scenic Tour route. The Visitor Center, park store (shock!), and surface trails (which are well worth hiking) will remain open.

The subject line had me concerned, glad it is only temporary!
