Here's an article on the Bob Marshall Wilderness, up where we had a convention back in the sixties. It indicates that the new depth record for the lower 48 is right in this area. Wow! http://flatheadbeacon.com/2014/09/17/ex ... world-bob/

I saw this article a few days ago. Pretty cool!

Interesting too, as Canada's deepest cave (653m, 2142') is just north of here, likely in similar limestone, and there are several other deep caves in the area. Including one with a pitch over 100m (330'). Seems like an area with a lot of potential. I wonder what we haven't found yet... :-D

The news about Tears Of The Turtle Cave was in the National Speleological Society Facebook Group about a month ago and I read about it then. When I was reading about it originally about a month ago, I found it really interesting reading about Tears Of The Turtle Cave.
