Yes the Fish Eye Wide Angle Lens can be over used in Photography of Analogue nature too, I remember a few occasions of seeing it overdone in the general press too over the years. To my mind, I rarely thought the composition was improved by bending the image using a trick lens.

Stunning caves but the photos are too distorted to provide much sense of depth.
