Special Forces storm cave to save AID workers

Postby BrianFrank » Jun 4, 2012 11:51 am

Two interesting articles on how Special Forces saved AID workers in an Afghanistan cave. These guys were dropped by helicopter 12 miles away, carried 80 lbs of ammo and communication equipment each, hiked in at night.....

This link has an image showing a reproduction drawing of the rescue.

"Caves" in Afghanistan are often little more than a minimal shelter from weather.

I still don't know the color of the boathouse in Hereford, either.

PS The article notes that the SAS sent a "crack" team on this raid. Coincidence? I think not!
