I checked out a Tennessee cave this weekend for future reference. It has a pit "lead". There was only one bat in the cave,
and it was healthy. Earlier in the year there were about 20 bats. I presume they all flew South for the winter already. No dead bats anywhere. This is on private land of course. I wouldn't fudge on the state cave moratorium, even though it is flawed.

No dead bats ? They must have died and rotted away before you found them . That WNS is the 'Debil ...
They say only cavers spread that stuff , anyway .
Are you sure this is a new lead ?
Slide. Slide on the ice...

Pretty sure it is a new lead in an old cave Charles. Not near Clarksville though.
