Classic Karst Tour – Slovenia and Croatia September 8-22, 2008

We have a good core group including some well-known cavers and can still accommodate a few more on this trip. Decisions need to be made fairly soon on order to secure airline seats. This is not a caving trip as such, but we do get into some of the spectacular caves and tour the region where Western concepts of cave exploration and karst science were born. We will get into some wild caves, visit the Speleo Camp at Laze, and spend some time with experts from the Karst Institute in Postojna. It is similar to an extended Convention geology field trip.
