The purpose of the trip was to check a section of passage on top of the Batman Dome. This area isn't too far from the entrance and I hoped we could find a way down the east trending canyon and rejoin the mainstream farther South than previously explored.
It was my first trip into the cave for quite some time and Hazel's first trip ever in Zic. We checked the tight canyon thoroughly and couldn't find any leads worthwhile, however on the way out Hazel upclimbed into a small piece of new cave which then became a no go :( .
We then decided to take a quick tour of the cave and headed to Camp 1 did a turnaround and then headed for the entrance.
It was a good day trip and a lot of fun that eliminated one of the last question marks in my head....So now all the good leads are out near Camp 3 :) .
