No, not giving up. Although the lone "connection" hopeful is a bleak 18 inch wide, 8 inch high crawl, it can be dug. We're gonna have to push further in Marathon Crawl and see what it does. I think there is more going on under the valley than meets the ear...

I'm trying to get an orientation by your map (showing Marathon and the two other caves) on the link above.. what sort of scale are we looking at there?

Yeah, sorry about that. Compass didn't give me any kind of scale bar. This isn't very scientific, but the word "Horrific" is about 75 feet wide on the map. The straight line distance between the end of Marathon and the terminal sump in Horrific is about 550 feet. North is up.
