Looking to prepare myself for expeditions
Posted: Jul 1, 2021 7:31 pmSo I've got the bug and have made it a goal to get on a multiweek expedition. However, I need to find and convince people to take me on. What is your best advice to best prepare and market myself (in the longterm - I don't care when I go on an expedition but would prefer it to be in the next decade)?
I've got Wilderness First Aid (WFA) experience and have only helped survey 1 cave. I will be moving to Washington this August and will try to find surveyors to hop on their projects with. Should I get an EMT cert? Who do I talk to about expeditions? I'll eventually go to NCRC.
