The Northeast Regional Organization of the NSS has twice-yearly weekend campout gatherings each spring and fall. General info and past events are listed on the website at http://www.caves.org/region/nro/meetings_nro.html The spring NRO event is usually in May but location and dates don't usually start emerging until well into the new year. Quebec cavers often come down too.

If you can make it, I would highly recommend attending the NRO like Jansen suggested. I think it's going to be in Vermont this Spring - so a bit of a hike from our area. However, you'll have plenty of opportunities to be guided on trips and learn from other people. If I'm there we could meet up and do something fun.

Hot off the press...

The Vermont Cavers Association (VCA) Is happy to announce they will be hosting the Spring NRO and the VCA’s 20th Anniversary May 18-19-20, 2012 in Arlington, VT.

If you have joined us at past NRO’s, please do not go to the former location. This spring will be at Howell’s Camping Area that was not hit by Tropical Storm Irene.

Tenting costs will be $5 per person per night with free hot showers. Electricity will be an additional cost.
