"Cave Rescuer's Manual"

Postby PseudoFission » Apr 29, 2009 3:00 am

Can anyone tell me about this book or know of a distributor in the US?

Looks like Expe carries it. Anyone want to go in on an Expe order?

I'm sure I could find something to tack onto an EXPE order.

Oooooooh, Expe.....I could spent $500 there and not bat an eye. The wife may have some issues, though!

Check with Emily at Speleobooks. She may be carrying it. I have the earlier edition of this book. As the owner of a Petzl NEST cave rescue litter, most of the techniques depicted in the book involve said stretcher. Short, sweet, and the few ads for speleogear in the book (to offset printing costs?) are entertaining.

Alex Sproul used to indulge me and order Expe items for me, mostly SRT stuff like bolts. Check with Jeff and Nina at Inner Mountain Outfitters and see if they're planning on ordering any time soon.

I'd second the suggestion of contacting Speleobooks, if Emily doesn't have it, she can probably help you figure out how to get it.

Looks like an interesting book. If she does have a copy, I may have to pick up one myself next time I see her.

Thanks for the suggestions - I called Emily at Speleobooks today - she doesn't have it in stock, but says she's been working on getting it. She said to try back in a few weeks, and that they would have them for the NSS Convention in six weeks. :banana_yay:
