seeking rescue personnel/sketcher for NASA Expedition, Chile

NASA/ SETI Phase 2, Earth-Mars Cave Detection Project seeks a highly skilled and proficient cave sketcher (who is also cave search and rescue certified) for the Atacama Desert Expedition, northern Chile. Fieldwork will be executed from 02 - to 24 June. We prefer an individual who can commit to the entire expedition; however, if this is not possible, the expedition is divided into two sessions for participation: Session I (02-12 June) or Session II (10–12 June). Participants are responsible for airfare from the U.S. to Calama, Chile (~2000.00USD) and ground transportation from Calama to San Pedro de Atacama (~20.00 USD). Must be First Aid/ CPR certified, and must have passed a physical within the last year. Missions objectives include: (a) upload data and re-launch microclimate instruments at study caves; (b) conduct near real-time data analyses of collected micro-climate data; and, (c) map and collect volumetric data of all study caves. To learn more about this project, you may go to a summary of last year's expedition summary via http://www.explorers.org/expeditions/re ... Report.pdf For more information, contact Jut Wynne at jut.wynne@nau.edu
