A man who had been missing for three days was fround in a roadside cave, suffering from third-degree burns, after a family member discovered his burned-out car beside the road and called police. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment. According to reports, it was not known how he came to be in the cave or why his car had burned.

EL PASO, Texas - The man rescued from a cave in the Franklin Mountains was identified Monday. Reyes Jaramillo Hernandez, 67, was found badly burned in a cave at the bottom of a cliff, just off Transmountain road Sunday afternoon.
According to the El Paso Sheriff's Office, Hernandez's brother called police after he found Hernandez's burned out car on the side of Transmountain Road.
When police got to the scene, they found the burned vehicle, but did there was no sign of Hernandez. They found him at the bottom of a nearby cliff, about 100 feet from his vehicle.
Hernandez suffered 3rd degree burns to his hands and legs, and was rushed to the University Medical Burn Center in Lubbock, Texas. As of Monday afternoon he remained in critical condition.
Investigators are trying to figure out how the car caught on fire, if Hernandez was alone, and how he ended up in a cave.

EL PASO, Texas -- We now know the name of an El Paso man rescued from a ravine about 100 feet down a cliff.
Jaramillo Hernandez, 67, remains in critical condition after suffering burns on more than 40 percent of his body.
As KFOX reported, family members found his burned-out car Sunday on Transmountain Road after he'd been missing for three days.
He was later found inside a cave at the bottom of a cliff leading to an emergency rescue.
Investigators are trying to figure out how Hernandez got there in the first place and what caused his car to catch on fire.
