Fulford Cave, CO - July 14

Postby Bill Putnam » Jul 16, 2008 11:14 am

There was a brief media report regarding an accident and rescue at Fulford Cave, Colorado, on Monday July 14. Can anyone provide more detail for the ACA files?

Bill,
You might try contacting Vail Mountain Rescue direct. We never here what goes on up there as they respond to all the calls and very rarely need help from CCRN. Maybe you can get on a mailing list of some sorts and receive their rescue information as it happens.

Bill,

This sounds more like a hiking/climbing accident versus a cave accident based on what is written. Fulford has a wilderness area around it and hiking trails. I have been there in the winer, but I am sure there are some cliffs around there to climb in the summer.
