It clashes with the timing for our next move, which will be a 4500 mile road trip. I guess I shouldn't be too disappointed. There's always next year.

Sorry you won't be joining us in Lvl 2.:sadbanana: Am I going to have to brush up on my communication data and facts? :duck!: :yikes:

So, where are going to be moving to next?

My registration and check for Level 2 are in the mail. :woohoo:

Anyone coming thru east TN or western NC that needs a rider? Will help pay for gas.

Or anyone need a ride from anywhere between NC and Alabama?

That's good to hear Scott. Last time I talked to Steve, the numbers were a bit low, but we expect a lot of folks are waiting until the last minute to register. Something about cavers and procrastination :-)

See you all there. (I'll be coming down from the Northern VA area myself.)

I'll be there for Level 2 this year :bananawhip:

I'll be looking to cave (something vertical) on Sunday May 11 if anyone is interested. Scott?

Something vertical on Sunday, May 11th? Hmm. Probably not. I'll probably be too tired anxious to get away from you guys home to the wife and kids.

But seriously, I'd love to, but my vacation time doesn't last that long.

I'll be up for something Saturday afternoon, I like to get a little recreational
caving in after a week of stress.

Sounds good.

During Level 1 I found the NCRC "caving" to be quite a tease, and was ready for something good by the end of the week. So we did a 10 hour, six kilometer, multi-drop, life-jacket swimming through trip in Rio Camuy with 17 people on Easter Sunday! That did the trick.

I'm not necessarily asking for an extravaganza like that again, but it would be nice to get on rope once or twice at the end of the week. (without having to haul anybody up it!)

Looks like it's shaping up to be another good level 2 class this year.

Oh poo, shame I can't make it to this one. At least I have a good excuse, though.

Y'all have fun, now!

Afternoon? Too early. There is a cave in that area that just insists on being visited at night.... it's only a 1/4 mile from the parking lot....

Seriously, I may have to stay later on Saturday anyway, but we'll see how beat I am from the week, but I might be convinced to stick around until Sunday.

I don't think I could find it in daylight. Besides, the idea of fighting through the Poison Ivy to get to it
is not pleasant.

Hey, we can always check out Cemetery now that we know the secret to avoiding the kudzu. And good point about the poison ivy.

And you're right, I'm not sure you could find that cave in the daylight. :-)

When are you showing up btw?

I'm one of the procrastinators. I dropped my Level 2 app in the mail this evening, so the postman will send it on its way tomorrow. I'm pretty stoked for some TAG caving, and might leave a day early and try to hit up some caves on the way. Thinking about S. Pittsburg and/or Valhalla. By the end of the week all I'll want is to get some sleep in my own bed. I'm hoping that the dining this year meets the high standards set last year!

Anyone know if we can get lodging a day early (Thursday night)? All I'd need is a place to lay down a sleeping bag. Will be glad to pitch in with setup chores for a place to sleep.

Well things are getting close. I'm excited.

Of course I really need to work on my entrance skills, a bit rusty. But looking forward to it!

So, who else is going?
