Dog rescued after 4 days underground

Postby Bill Putnam » Aug 24, 2007 12:33 pm

[Not actually a cave rescue, but still of interest to dog-loving cavers...]

A West Virginia dog is lucky to be alive after being trapped underground in a storm drain for four days.

Alex, a Dalmatian, was trapped 15 feet underground. Owners say he crawled into the drain to cool off and got stuck.

Heavy rains made the threat of a cave a real danger not only to the trapped dog, but for his owner.

The jackal can roar,
pretending to be a lion.
The lion is not fooled.
